After finalizing his college degree in the early 1980s, Luc started his logistics career as a shipping clerk. Later, he developed skills in project shipment and chartering while working for multiple breakbulk shipping lines. He remained active in the shipping industry until 1993, when he was invited to become director of a well-known forwarding company in Antwerp which was founded in 1918 as a part of the Van Uden Group in Rotterdam.
After realizing a management buyout in 1993, Luc obtained ownership of a second Antwerp forwarding company with a 50 years logistic tradition in the local Antwerp market.
Five years later, Luc and his partners created the exclusive Atlas Logistic Network together with their life long mentor, Issa Baluch, former FIATA president and owner of Swift Freight in Dubai. In 2019, Luc founded the Apollo Exclusive Cargo Alliance to meet the lack of exclusive logistics networks in the freight industry.

Lyanne started her Executive Management studies at Karel de Grote Hogeschool in Antwerp. Since this training truly focused on organization and management, she developed a real eye for profit, business processes and communication management in different languages.
During her senior year, Lyanne went to Valencia, where she followed all of her classes in Spanish. Of course, this allowed her to improve her Spanish skills significantly. After graduating, she firstly did an internship in a qualified hospital in Belgium, where she worked as a supervisor on the quality and accreditation department. Here, she learned to manage and train teams in executing new procedures and applications.
In 2014, she joined the team that manages the Atlas Logistic Network and the Alfa Logistics Family, where she further developed her accounting proficiency and got to know all the ins and outs of both networks. Besides business development, she is now also responsible for accountancy and project management. She will be performing the same functions at Apollo.
RUTH VAN NUFFELEN Membership Coordinator Manager
After a one-year education in New Zealand, Ruth did a 3-year degree in logistics management at the Karel De Grote Hogeschool in Antwerp. After this, she started her logistics career at Atlantic Container Line, a specialized transatlantic carrier of containers, project and oversized cargo. During these 5 years, she had the opportunity to really discover all aspects and challenges of the import and export sector.
In 2017, Ruth started to work for the Atlas Logistic Network and the Alfa Logistics Family, where she became the network coordinator, which so far has been an enriching experience:

Geert was born in Belgium, where he started his career as an assistant line manager and line manager for Intership Europe. Later, he moved to Alexandria, Egypt, to become a representative for the same company. After 4 years of looking at pyramids, Geert headed towards Dubai, where he set up the Asian agency network for the North Africa Shipping Co, a local NVOCC focusing on transport to Libya. 3 years later, he joined Triangle Shipping (a division of Barwil) as a branch manager.
Another 2 years later, Geert became business development manager for Barwil Vietnam. He fell in love with the country, and after a while founded his own freight forwarding company.
In 2015, he joined the team of the Atlas Logistic Network as VP Asia. Today, he still resides in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he will be operating for Apollo as well.
With a true shipping and logistics veteran at the helm, Alfa Breakbulk is in safe hands. For example, he was the Antwerp MD of the West African Liner Agency, ASECO and Safmarine Belgium. He also lead the Safmarine MVP liner service (owned by Maersk Group) and has been a Board Member of several umbrella organizations, such as the Antwerp Shipping Federation, Seagha and Portilog.
In 2008, Albert started operating as an independent consultant for, among others, the Antwerp Port Authority, an oil major, Sarens and CMC Ltd (a Tata Group Company).
Furthermore, he is one of the three Founding Father of Breakbulk Europe, a Director of PICS Belgium, the Belgian integrated supply chain society.
During the studies already, Tomas started working in the logistics industry as a sales manager for a transport brokerage business. Later on, he moved to work for an asset-based transportation company. Eventually, he became Logistics leader for one of the biggest trading and manufacturing groups in Eastern Europe.
He was responsible for supply chain strategy and execution covering all transportation means (Rail, Land, Sea, Air) in various regions (Baltics, Scandinavia, CIS). Serving at both ends for shippers and transportation companies allowed Tomas to better understand the Suppy chain and logistics management concept. After 13+ years of corporate life, Tomas decided to open his own company, which helps both logistics service providers and supply chain organizations better compete in the market and implement needed changes.
Tomas is a massive believer in digitization and process efficiency, as this is the key to success. Up to this moment, Tomas is still developing his business, and In 2021 complimentary joined the Atlas team as VP CIS and operated out of the Klaipeda, Lithuania.
Born and brought up in Belgium with roots from Bangladesh, Shuborna has always been interested in meeting new people from multicultural backgrounds and travelling around the world. This interest followed her throughout her high school studies in International Tourism and Leisure. During her education, topics about business and networking really spiked her interest. She wanted to become a part of the globalization, learn how to connect with people, do business with companies and be one with the world. When she had the opportunity to become a Membership Coordinator at the Atlas International Network, she grabbed it with both hands.
YIAU FON TAM Graphic designer & Marketing Coordinator
Born in Belgium to Chinese parents, Fon finished high school with a degree in Informatics. For his higher studies, he chose KASK School of Arts in the beautiful city of Ghent, where he specialized in animated film and character design. As Atlas’s Graphic Designer, Fon is able to use his creativity to the fullest. Whether he is designing logos, promo movies, or newsletters, the result is always visually pleasing.
Following high school, Ewout had a four-year education in Language and Literature at the Free University of Brussels (VUB). He followed this up with an additional Masters degree in Journalism at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL). After his first working experience at a health insurance company, Ewout started working at the Atlas Logistic Network as a copywriter. He also follows up our financial security program.
